BPS Tanjung Jabung Barat Strengthens Synergy with Diskopperindag Ahead of the 2026 Economic Census

On Tuesday, 5 May 2026, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency conducted an official visit and courtesy meeting to the Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade (Diskopperindag) of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. During the visit, the BPS team met directly with the Head of the Department of Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade, Sawaludin F. Tanjung, S.E., M.Si., as an initial step toward building inter-agency synergy and collaboration.

This activity was part of efforts to strengthen cross-sector coordination in support of the successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census, which will take place from May to August 2026. Support from regional government agencies, particularly those related to the business and trade sectors, is essential in ensuring the availability of accurate and high-quality economic data.

Through this coordination, it is expected that strong cooperation between BPS and Diskopperindag will be established in supporting the implementation of the census as well as strengthening data on the cooperative, MSME, industrial, and trade sectors in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.
